We could all use more love. And to quote author Matt Kahn from one of my favorite audio courses, The Whatever Arises, Love That Course: Insights and Practices to Open the Heart and Live as Love, "Everyone deserves more love not less."
But how do you get more love not less?
The problem comes in trying to get love. Seeking love externally is the age-old recipe for disaster.
Love can fade, be unrequited. Love can wither on the vine. Oh no.
The reality is that relying on others to provide the love you deserve can be hit or miss.
There is only one true method to gather more and more love - and that is to become more loving.
There is a big difference between feeling loved - an effect, and feeling love - being at cause. Being loving is proactive.
You can love others. You can love a sunset. You can love yourself - oh yes.
And you already know that self-love is important, don't you. So many people suffer from the core wound of unworthiness, that they forget the cure is self-compassion, self-forgiveness, and self-love.
So, today, make a pledge to become more loving - however that turns up for you.
